This is an excellent product, that performs exactly as stated. It allows very precise movements, and locks off firmly. The 3D printed plastic parts are a little textured and not as cleanly finished as moulded ones would be, but this is cosmetic. The mechanisms feel solid and I expect them to give years of use.
My only quibble was with the original foot plate, so Thomas designed a slightly bigger one with 2 thumbscrews for rigidity and 3 fixing holes, which I would recommend as being more stable. I really appreciate the great service, a sign that he is determined to get it right.
It’s not cheap, especially with shipping and customs, but this is a professional, arguably essential animating tool that in my opinion is good value. Buy it!
